Accessibility statement
Last tested: October 8, 2026
Higher Ed Ops Consulting builds tools for colleges, universities, workforce programs and nonprofits, and many of the people who use them rely on assistive technology. Accessibility is part of how every tool is designed and tested.
The standard
I design and test to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. It is the standard the ADA Title II web rule sets for the web content of public colleges and universities, including content provided through contractors.
How the free tools were tested
| Check | What was covered | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Automated WCAG 2.1 AA scan (axe-core 4.10) | All five planning tools: 104 views, including each sample walkthrough, at desktop and phone widths, in both the daytime and nighttime looks | No violations after one color fix |
| Keyboard pass | Moving through each tool’s first screen with the Tab key | Every control reachable, each with a visible focus ring |
Known limits
- Automated scans catch many issues, though some, like how a screen reader announces a complex table, need a person to check. Screen reader testing is the next step.
- Word and PDF files the tools create have not yet been checked for accessibility.
- This website runs on WordPress.com, and its pages have not yet had the same full audit as the tools.
