Privacy policy

Effective October 2026

This policy explains what Higher Ed Ops Consulting LLC (“I”) collects through higheredopsconsulting.com and the free planning tools at tools.higheredopsconsulting.com, and what I do with it. I don’t sell personal information, and I don’t use it for advertising.

The free planning tools

  • No account, no sign-in and no tracking. The tools don’t use analytics or cookies.
  • Everything you enter stays in your own browser, saved on your device so you can come back to it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
  • The tools never ask for student records. Planning tools use group counts only.
  • To display the pages, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts and, when you download a Word or PDF file, open-source code from jsDelivr. Those services see your device’s IP address, as any website does.
  • Optional AI in the Program-to-Jobs Mapper: if you choose to connect your own AI account, the course descriptions you select go straight from your browser to that provider (OpenAI, Anthropic or Google) under your account’s terms. Your key stays in the page’s memory and is never saved or sent to me.

This website

  • Contact form: your name, email and the services you’re interested in, so I can reply.
  • Email updates: your email address, if you subscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Site statistics: the site is hosted by WordPress.com, which collects standard visit statistics (pages viewed, referring sites, approximate location) and filters spam with Akismet. See Automattic’s privacy policy.
  • Booking a call: scheduling runs on Calendly under Calendly’s privacy notice.

Client engagements

  • We agree in writing on what data I can see before any work begins, and I work under your institution’s data agreement.
  • Student data stays in your systems. I don’t copy it into my own accounts or tools.
  • At the end of an engagement, I return or delete any working files that contain your data.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe at any time, and you can ask me to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you by emailing support@higheredopsconsulting.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, I’ll update the date at the top of this page.
